Seamus Murphy's 12 Short Films for 'Let England Shake' will be screened at the Watershed in Bristol on February 26th at 6pm as part of their Film & Music Festival. Tickets available here.

'Let England Shake' has been nomimated in the Best Album category in the 2012 UK Brits.

January's 'The Word' magazine features a cartoon Polly on the cover with a feature entitled "Whatever happened to singing?" - you can see the cover on the Magazine Gallery (see links above - Gallery)

Australian dates announced for January 2012. More on the 'Tour' page.

Polly performed a solo "The Last Living Rose" on The Andrew Marr Show on Oct 2nd. Polly was also briefly interviewed with UK Prime Minister David Cameron and challenging him on the UK Government's cuts on the Arts in the UK. Go Polly!

It's great to see Polly win the Mercury Prize for a second time and well deserved with perhaps Polly's most compelling album 'Let England Shake'.

September 6th 2011 'Let England Shake' wins the Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2011 and rightly so!
Polly and the boys played "The Words That Maketh Murder" at the ceremony as broadcast on BBC2/BBC HD and BBC 6 Music on the night.

Congratulations to Polly, John, Mick and Flood for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize nomination. This is the fourth time Polly has been nominated, winning the prize in 2001 with "Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea". This years result will be announced on 6th September and Polly will be in attendance. Offical Mercury Site here

Also nominated is the Rob Ellis produced album "Anna Calvi" by Anna Calvi. Congratulations to Rob too!

The track "Let England Shake" has now been released as a Promotional CD Single backed by "Written On The Forehead" though I believe there are no plans for this to be released as an official single. Various radio stations have been playing the track in the past week.

The tribute album to Ian Stewart produced by Ben Waters is out now and includes Polly's vocal and saxaphone contributions to 'Lonely Avenue' - a lovely track! All proceeds from the album go to the British Heart Foundation so do buy a copy! More details on the Guest page and the Lyrics are now posted too.

April 18th 2011 'The Glorious Land' is the new single on 7" and Digital Download featuring the exclusive track 'The Nightingale'.

I have been alerted to an unearthed track that I never knew about. Apparently from an XFM session in 1997, Polly Harvey and John Parish recorded a cover version of Jim Yamouridis's 'The Rider'. Click here to listen to this amazing track. I am trying to get more information on this from the guys...

April 18th - Suprisingly Polly appeared on the BBC's Political programme - The Andrew Marr Show today! As well as an interview, Polly performed the new track 'Let England Shake' live in the studio.
